If you live off-campus in the City of South Bend, you are in the jurisdiction of the South Bend Police Department or the Saint Joseph County Police. NDSP does not have jurisdiction off-campus.

  • To report an unknown person or vehicle acting suspiciously in your neighborhood: 574-235-9361
  • To report a crime in progress: 911
  • To report an ongoing problem:
    • Day Shift Commander (6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.): 574-235-9283

Notre Dame Security Police

Although Notre Dame Security Police (NDSP) does not patrol outside the campus, NDSP officers are here to help the entire Notre Dame Community. NDSP can still be a resource for students living off-campus. Please contact them at:
